Poets on the Roof

The Purpose of the Poets on the Roof workshop is to enjoy the creative process of writing collaborative poems and, as a group, to enjoy moments of life and friendship.

Welcome to The Poets On The Roof, a website for the Stockton Poetry Workshop by that name. We currently meet at the house of Patricia Mayorga. The group has gone through a variety of venues, originally starting with a Poetry Workshop by the name of The Breakfast Club at The Caffeine Den in 2003. We currently have a routine of discussing things conversationally and then writing a group poetry exercise (see Group Exercise Directions and Group Poetry Exercises.) We sometimes share other poems we have written and do other poetry exercises or share poetry homework that was assigned at the last meeting.
